Patients of UPMC Senior Care-Benedum Geriatric Center enjoy the advantage of having many levels and types of care, including psychiatric care and specialty care, at one outpatient location.

Benedum services include primary and specialty care, health education, counseling, and psychotherapy. The center's staff includes geropsychiatrists, nurse practitioners, social workers, and geriatricians.

UPMC Senior Care-Benedum Geriatric Center experts also provide practical tips about preventing falls; help patients who have problems with bladder control, persistent confusion, or memory loss; and help manage prescriptions -- all on an outpatient basis. For very frail patients, Benedum doctors make house calls.
