Inpatient rehabilitation units providers submit claims to insurance companies first; they will send statements about the billings. Contact the insurance provider for specific coverage information, including criteria, deductibles, and copays.

Commercial Insurance
Commercial Insurance may provide coverage. Contact your insurance company to discuss how inpatient rehabilitation may be reimbursed.

Managed Care Insurance
Managed care insurance companies identify their “network” health systems; contact their representatives to discuss how that may impact reimbursement.

Medicare
Provides full coverage.

Medical Assistance
Duration of Coverage - Unlimited as long as the criteria are met
Amount of Coverage - Full coverage if prescribed by a doctor and approved by the Department of Public Welfare for those whose condition requires 24-hour supervision and skilled nursing care.

Worker's Compensation
Worker's Compensation may provide coverage; check with your representative for details.

Auto Insurance
Auto Insurance may provide coverage if you were involved in a motor vehicle accident; check with your representative for details.

U.S. Veteran's Benefits
