Accessing Transitional Care
Paying for Transitional
Care
Patients admitted to a Transitional Care unit (TCU) no longer require
acute hospital care, but are not ready to go home or to a freestanding
nursing care facility. The transitional care unit stay is usually
short term, often no more than 3 weeks.
Accessing Transitional Care
Your doctor can arrange for Transitional Care. Based on your needs,
your doctor will determine the best Transitional Care setting for
you.
