Lawrence A. Frolik, JD, LLM

 

Professor of Law at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, Lawrence Frolik is a frequent lecturer on legal issues of aging. His books include Advising the Elderly or Disabled Client; Elder Law in a Nutshell; the casebooks Elder Law: Cases and Materials and The Law of Employee Pensions and Welfare Benefits; and Aging and the Law: An Interdisciplinary Reader. He has served as chair of the Seniors Issues Committee and co-chair of the Medicine and Law Committee, both of the American Bar Association’s (ABA) Torts and Insurance Section. He also serves as member of the ABA Bioethics and the Law Committee. Dr. Frolik was appointed by Governor Rendell to the Pennsylvania Council on Aging and serves on the Executive Council of the Pennsylvania American Association of Retired Persons. In 1995, he was a Congressional appointed delegate to the White House Conference on Aging.
