UPMC was ranked 8th in geriatrics in 2010 out of nearly 5,000 hospitals in the United States. Other age-related rankings for UPMC specialties include: 7th in respiratory diseases, 9th in psychiatry, 8th in orthopedics, 9th in rheumatology, 15th in rehabilitation medicine, 17th neurology and neurosurgery, and two rankings in cancer—31st and 42nd for women's cancers at Magee-Womens Hospital of UPMC.
