The National Guideline Clearinghouse is a resource for government publications
and clinical guidelines and their sponsoring organizations. The Clearinghouse
is designed to provide physicians, nurses, and other health professionals,
health care providers, health plans, integrated delivery systems, purchasers
and others an accessible mechanism for obtaining objective, detailed
information on clinical practice guidelines and to further their dissemination,
implementation and use.
Research Center (ADRC)
Funded by the National Institute on Aging, the Alzheimer Disease
Research Center (ADRC) is a formal program designed to integrate, coordinate,
and support new and ongoing research in Alzheimer’s disease and
aging. Through the ADRC, you can learn about the latest research on
Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. The ADRC provides
training opportunities for professional and lay community members.
The American Geriatrics Society (AGS) is the premier professional organization
of health care providers dedicated to improving the health and well-being
of older adults. With an active membership of more than 6,000 health
care professionals, the AGS has a long history of affecting change
in the provision of health care for older adults. In the last decade,
the society has become a pivotal force in shaping attitudes, policies,
and practices regarding health care for older people.
Partnership for Aging (SWPPA)
SWPPA is a regional coalition of individuals and groups who are committed
to the well being of an aging population. The mission is to serve as
a catalyst to promote policies, programs and systems change which will
improve the quality of life of older adults. It provides a neutral
forum for education, networking, collaboration, discussion and advocacy,
with the goals of acting as a catalyst for change, improving the aging
program delivery system, and improving quality of life for older adults.
