Mr. Logan leads the integration of UPMC’s community relations programs and acts as liaison to the many communities served by UPMC’s hospitals and programs.
Prior to coming to UPMC, Mr. Logan served as a three-term State Senator representing the 45th Senatorial District in parts of Allegheny and Westmoreland counties. For 10 years, Mr. Logan has held leadership positions in the state Senate, including caucus secretary of the Senate Democratic Caucus, minority chairman of the Law and Justice Committee, and member of the Appropriations Committee. Before his Senate election in 2000, Mr. Logan served as Mayor of Monroeville, preceded by a position as Director, Department of Consumer Protection, Allegheny County. He also served as a Marketing Consultant to the law firm of Cohen & Grigsby for eight years. Mr. Logan holds a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Pittsburgh.
